Funding your case

We want clients to know where they stand on their costs from day one and as the case progresses.
Wherever possible we are willing to offer fixed fee agreements.  However in complex cases involving litigation our charges will be based on a time spent basis and this will be discussed in detail at the initial consultation.   We will always strive to give you best estimate for initial advice cost and maintain transparency on costs throughout your case.

A priority for most clients undergoing Divorce is acheiving a finacial settlement resulting in a clean break. Fanstone West offer a fixed fee package where parties have reached a financial agreement either by themselves or following family mediation.
At the appropriate stage of the divorce we will draft the finacial settlement to include where appropriate a financial clean break. The papers will lodged with the court for approval resulting in a legally binding court order.
Price from £500.00 + VAT* does not include court fee which is currently £50.00.

Pre/Post Nuptial
Many couples are choosing to enter into pre/post nuptial agreement. They can help to set out the circumstances of ‘what if’ situations and provide clarity if things go wrong. We recommend re-visiting these agreements following any major change in circumstances, such as the birth of children.
Cohabitee Agreements
 negotiation and preparation of agreements to regulate financial arrangements between cohabitees and deal with acquisition of equitable financial interests.
We do not offer Fixed Fee for the Pre/Post Nuptial and Cohabitee Agreemet however bespoke packages are available on request

We will help you resolve your arrangements for you child/children sensitively adopting these principles and overiding ethos of the Children Act 1989 and 2005 and the Adoption Act 2002 whereby the child's welfare is paramount.
Once we understand the issues in your we will guide you to the most appropriate method of resolution i.e. Solicitor lead negotiation, family mediation and court proceedings.
